Welcome all of you who are stopping by inspired by my NRO piece. Nice to have you.  Substantive posting is an off-and-on proposition here, depending on how tired I am, what other work I have, and how that insomnia’s going. But I have<\/em> written a load of books – you can see them here, along with tables of contents and so on.<\/a> The books that probably echo the sensibilities and style you read today are The Catholic Woman’s Book of Days <\/em>– a 365-day devotional; and The Words We Pray<\/em>, both published by Loyola Press. A lot of people like Here.Now. A Catholic Guide to the Good Life<\/em>, as well. It’s written for a young adult audience (late teens-early 20’s) but fogies have told me they liked it, as well. So.<\/p>\n

She attended Knoxville Catholic High School, then the University of Tennessee where she majored in history. Amy has written columns for Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic News Service at times over the past twenty years. Her articles have been published in venues ranging from Our Sunday Visitor to the New York Times to Commonweal. She has written 17 books. 18, if you included the as yet tragically unpublished novel. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
