Suddenly, she looked 10 years younger. \u201cI was raised by Catholic parents, with a profound awareness and reverence for God,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd ingrained in me is the idea of service with a glad heart with the talent you were given. We all have the ability to serve God and each other with our talents. I choose roles with that objective. I really think that\u2019s why I act. I\u2019ve never sought out parts where you float around in beautiful dresses and have no character.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The whole piece is about a lack of serious parts for serious actresses in Hollywood films, but honestly&#8230;are there serious parts for serious <em>actors? <\/em>Can anything good, creative or interesting come out of Hollywood?
