But apparently there\u2019s an exception for Islam. The federal court of appeals for the Ninth Circuit saw no Establishment Clause violation where a California public school had students, over a three-week period, learn Muslim prayers, study Muslim doctrine, and take Muslim names. Can anyone imagine the same result if the students had become, say, \u201cCatholic for a month\u201d instead of \u201cMuslim for a month\u201d? In <em>Eklund <\/em>v.<em> Byron Union School District<\/em>, attorneys from the Thomas More Law Center ask the Supreme Court to hear their challenge to the Islam program.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Several other cases of interest, including:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Last but not least, in <em>Cano <\/em>v.<em> Baker,<\/em> Sandra Cano \u2014 the former Mary Doe of <em>Doe <\/em>v.<em> Bolton<\/em>, the companion case to <em>Roe <\/em>v.<em> Wade<\/em> \u2014 is asking the Supreme Court to overturn her landmark abortion ruling. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
