And reportedly utters a clue to what might have driven her over the edge:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Laura Grunas, a Plantation police officer, argued with her boyfriend Robert Peat on Aug. 4, and police had to tell her to leave his Plantation home. When she returned a short time later that night, Grunas killed Peat and committed suicide, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Peat&#8217;s friend, Plantation reserve police officer and volunteer firefighter Michael Roth, witnessed the argument and was present when Grunas came back to the house, investigators said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Roth&#8217;s statement to police, Grunas asked Roth: &quot;Did he tell you about killing my baby?&quot; <\/p>\n<p>Plantation Detective Brian Kendall&#8217;s final nine-page report obtained by the <em>South Florida Sun-Sentinel<\/em> on Thursday said: &quot;Roth advised that Peat had told him that when they found out she was pregnant, they decided to terminate the pregnancy.
