And, indeed, we did make it over there, only to find people milling about in the lobby of the building, being told something by a student. Things were being switched around, he said. The reception, scheduled for after the talk, would be beforehand &#8211; because Pia&#8217;s plane was a little late. <\/p>\n<p>A little&#8230;well that might work. But then I saw the director of our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wlyv.com\/aspbite\/categories\/index.asp?intCatID=1\">local Catholic radio station<\/a> who said, yes, Pia&#8217;s plane wouldn&#8217;t be getting in until 7:50&#8230;.so we were looking at a talk time probably close to 9&#8230;hmmm&#8230;.2 hours from that point. Well, I had a daughter who had a little bit more homework to do and while perfectly willing to listen to Pia, was itching pretty bad to see the <em>Lost <\/em>premiere (and its 127 commercials?????)&#8230;so we regretfully made our way out, and headed over for a brief stop at the bright shiny new Target where Michael and the boys were hanging out. <\/p>\n<p>I do hope she got in and that the talk went well.&nbsp; It&#8217;s like what happened to me going to Houston a few months ago, except that my talk was part of an all-day event, and it was easier to switch things around and keep people around&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And <em>Lost? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&quot;The bears did it in 2 hours.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not totally frustrated yet, but still I really want someone to stand up and just yell..&#8217;&quot;WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE, WHY ARE YOU HERE, AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH US AND DID YOU MAKE OUR PLANE CRASH?&quot;&nbsp; I know, I know&#8230;the direct question might must ruin the idea of that whole 23-episode suspense-filled season, but even Katie, at one point growled at Jack, &quot;Will you just ask who she is and how she knows all that stuff???&quot;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I had every intention of taking Katie to hear Pia di Solenni speak at the University of St. Francis tonight at 7.
