There are four large works of outdoor art done as some kind of ceramic on brick on a government building (a courthouse) in Ann Arbor, Mich., that used to be a seminary building for the Holy Cross Fathers. They depict scenes that look like priests pastoring people from four different parts of the world (maybe Europe, North America, South America and Africa?). The building is being renovated and I am concerned they’ll just demolish the art works in the process. It’s really none of my business, but I hate to see works like there meet an end under a wrecking ball or a bulldozer’s blade. Anybody here affiliated with the Holy Cross Fathers, or know anything about "buying back" religious art that ended up on govt. buildings?<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
