Well, I got the confirmation today &#8211; two weeks after I submitted the request, which is pretty quick. But we <em>are<\/em> going off-season and I gave them almost a full week that was open. So, Thursday morning, March 2 for the Scavi. Got our General Audience tickets, as well. The Papal Ash Wednesday liturgy at <a href=\"http:\/\/roma.katolsk.no\/sabina.htm\">St. Sabina<\/a> looks hopeless &#8211; the sister in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnac.org\/general\/visiting_vatican.htm\">US Bishop&#8217;s office for Rome visitors at the NAC<\/a> said that even if tickets were available, once all the clergy got in there, there was probably no room for anyone else! But there <em>is <\/em>a procession from <a href=\"http:\/\/roma.katolsk.no\/anselmo.htm\">St. Anselm <\/a>to St. Sabina before the liturgy, so perhaps we can squeeze along the street for that.<\/p>\n<p>Onward!<\/p>\n<p>(And yes to questions &#8211; this <em>is<\/em> my first visit to Rome. First visit to Europe. MIchael&#8217;s been places here and there, including, of course, his year in Turkey, but Canada and Mexico mark the extent of my international travel.
