If their spiritual hunger awakes and they read the Holy Scriptures, if they realize that Jesus is truly Lord and Savior and desire to turn to Him, then this spectacle will serve to convince them that the Catholic Church has nothing to offer, and they will turn to the Evangelical church down the street. Here they will find a clear, if not a full, presentation of the Gospel, and if they are missing out on the sacraments, they will not realize what they are missing because they never learned about them in the first place.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Brandon:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>We attended a parish <\/em>[in Chicago]<em>&#8230;during the course of the homily it was clear that the pastor had a pet obsession with recalling &quot;the bad old days&quot; of endless rules and regulations and hierarchy.
