I am dreadfully behind on my book reviewing and noting on this blog. For the next week, I think I’ll make that the focus here, with Rome notes taking second place. <\/p>\n

We’ll ease into this with a children’s book. I do this occasionally, since we go to the library twice a week and check out stacks of books. Once in a while, gold emerges, and I like to note them for those who are looking for such things – and you’re out there, I know it.<\/p>\n

Here’s why I liked this one: it’s actually a Noah’s Ark book – and while there is no lack of Noah’s Ark books for children out there, this one’s a bit different. You can probably figure it out from the cover – the sloths are at the center of the story, and the problem is that despite the call to board the Ark, they’re just too tired<\/em> and they won’t get moving. Cat fanciers might not be pleased, however, since while everyone else is quite concerned about the sloths…they really couldn’t care less. <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
