We finally got back to our house about 11:30 pm eastern &#8211; about 24 hours after we got up. Michael the Dad slept for a while on the plane from Rome to the US, both boys slept for about 2 hours each, then passed out on the plane from Philly to Cincy, and slept most of the car drive back. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s now 5:16. I&#8217;ve gotten about 5 hours sleep in the past 24, most of them at home, interrupted by the wakeful baby, who obviously is ticked, having gotten to sleep in a bed with us for ten days, and now back in prison. But I&#8217;m wide awake. I just put the baby back in his bed, to find Joseph sitting up in <em>his<\/em> bed, wide awake, examining his calendar, and asking me if it&#8217;s a new week yet. Forget it. I put Joseph in bed with Michael, and I&#8217;m down here blogging&#8230;after all, it&#8217;s late morning according to the way I&#8217;ve been living&#8230;on a normal day, I would be on my fourth church of the day by now&#8230;oy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We left Rome at 11:15 their time, which means we had been up since around 1 AM eastern. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
