From Variety<\/em>, news of a new romantic comedy called Prodigal Son<\/em>: "Story revolves around a workaholic single woman who is set up on a date by her mother. Her date, a handsome, kind and caring carpenter who works at Ikea, turns out to be Jesus Christ, who’s returned for Armageddon and settled in contemporary Los Angeles. Deal was worth high six-figures." <\/p>\n

This is no minor deal. The producer is Brian Grazer, who runs Imagine Pictures and won an Oscar for A Beautiful Mind<\/em>. Did no one say to him, "Brian, look, I know you’ve won awards and everything, but…a romantic comedy about JESUS CHRIST???????????"<\/em> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Podhoretz forgets one very important piece of the puzzle…this would actually be Grazer’s second <\/em>foray into Jesus-is-someone’s-boyfriend territory. <\/p>\n
