If one believes the Roman Catholic Church is so very deeply wrong on this issue, one is, of course, free to leave and be ordained in another Christian tradition. The insistence on staying indicates that one doesn’t want to do this, and is rejecting the truth claims of other Christian traditions in favor of the Roman Catholic Church. Which means that one evidently believes that what the Catholic Church teaches or embodies is more true than the other traditions one is perfectly free to join, but doesn’t. So, by staying in the Catholic Church, you’re making a statement that you believe this is the True Church. But you reject many of the teachings that the Church has taught since the beginning, which might indicate that you don’t believe that the Church teaches the truth about these fundamentals.
