Haven&#8217;t been through this in a while. It&#8217;s been loose for a long time, of course, and this past weekend, I offered to just pull it out, but he recoiled in horror. I don&#8217;t blame him. But this evening he just appeared in front of me, holding that tiny white thing, and proudly said, &quot;I pulled it out myself!&quot; It must have been <em>really <\/em>loose, because I didn&#8217;t see a speck of blood anywhere. I can only hope that his pride in pulling his own tooth out doesn&#8217;t transform into what Christopher&#8217;s did &#8211; a rather odd interest in pulling <em>other <\/em>people&#8217;s teeth out. I did tell him several times during his pre-adolescence he should consider dentistry, but evidently editing sports video turned out to be more fun.<\/p>\n<p>But from what he tells me, in reality, that&#8217;s not too much different from pulling teeth&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;but we have a milestone. Amy has written columns for Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic News Service at times over the past twenty years. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
