You can listen to the <em>Iliad <\/em>during dinner!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Over the course of the Spring of 2007, a student-led group will gather in the Oak Room of South Dining Hall to read aloud Alexander Pope&#8217;s translation of the Iliad. Each Tuesday and Friday at 6:10 pm, students and others interested may bring their dining hall trays to the Oak Room on the second floor of South Dining Hall (location occasionally liable to change to the main level of SDH) and be regaled with the glories of Homer. Each night a book of the Iliad will be read as those present feast on the fruits of the Dining Hall. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in being added to a mailing list to receive occasional reminders (and location changes) of the enterprise should direct an email to psmith13@nd.edu. Anyone with a desire to read a portion aloud before the congregation should likewise direct an email to Mr. Smith, and a schedule of readers will be determined.
