Gently, but firmly, Benedict XVI unveiled, there upon the heights of the hillside of Marienfeld, the convergence of a series of essential symbols within the host \u2013 a burning and visible reality! That which was raised up before the whole world’s eyes, should it, perhaps, have been concealed out of delicacy toward the separated brethren? Or should everything have been concealed from everyone, again out of delicacy? We saw, during his friendly audience with representatives of the Islamic world, a large crucifix behind Benedict XVI.
