Usually these accusations are based on the perception that a writer has injected his or her opinion into a story. However, bias can be much more subtle and yet say much more. <\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post\u2019s coverage of the 34th annual March for Life is indicative of such bias. A march of \u201ctens of thousands\u201d in the cold and snow yesterday only merited coverage on page A10 of your January 23rd edition? If 1,000 people marched and protested the war in Iraq I\u2019m certain the Post would run it on A1. <\/p>\n<p>Surely, \u201ctens of thousands\u201d of marchers in our nation\u2019s capitol is a front page story. Your placement of this story speaks volumes of your opinion of the Right to Life cause. <\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be too hard on yourself though \u2013 the NY Times ran the story on A17.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/afterabortion.blogspot.com\/\">Annie at After Abortion takes apart the <em>NYTimes Mag<\/em> cover story on PAS<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">And if you haven&#8217;t yet, go look at Barbara Curtis&#8217; photos. They&#8217;re all great, and give you an excellent sense of what the crowd was like. For some reason, I particularly liked <a href=\"http:\/\/picasaweb.google.com\/BarbarasMommyLife\/MarchForLife2007\/photo#5023036629253704914\">this one:<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/img102.imageshack.us\/img102\/3199\/img47682hq.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/img102.imageshack.us\/img102\/3199\/img47682hq.jpg\" width=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>It just has this great sense of <em>moving forward&#8230;.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michelle Malkin compares coverage of various DC demonstrations.
