\nOh, and adding to the doc drop of last week – I’ll toss in this pastoral letter from Bishop Slattery of Tulsa on immigration, specifically on one piece of proposed legislation in the Oklahoma House. <\/a>(pdf). What most interested me were the first two and a half pages in which Bishop Slattery laid out the grounds of his authority to teach on this matter. I can’t remember ever reading such a specific, explicit statement like that in an episcopal pastoral letter in the recent past.
