Now, it seems, we have an embarrassment of riches.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanpapist.com\/2007\/02\/breaking-ave-maria-school-of-law.html\">Ave Maria School of Law is apparently&#8230;not moving to Fort Wayne. But to Florida&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">That link takes you to American Papist, who has an extensive, link-filled post up about a new film <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanpapist.com\/2007\/02\/megapost-bella-movie-we-need-to-see.html\">Bella, which won the People&#8217;s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival.<\/a> The film&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bellathemovie.com\/\">website, which includes a trailer.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Check out the new blog <a href=\"http:\/\/cburrell.wordpress.com\/\">All Manner of Thing.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/jenambrose.blogspot.com\/2007\/02\/chinese-catholics.html\">Jen Ambrose has a helpful post, made even better by her own personal experience, about Catholics in China.<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Francis Kissling is apparently retiring as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicsforchoice.org\/news\/default.asp\">president of Catholics for Free Choice. <\/a>A <em>NYTimes <\/em>profile is coming soon, and the word is that she&#8217;s building a house in Uruguay where she will continue her advocacy and writing. Pray for her. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 0.8em\"><span>Kissling will be honored at a tribute on March 2 in <span>Washington, DC<\/span>, <strong>which will feature noted author <span>Anna Quindlen<\/span><\/strong>, <span>Representative Rosa DeLauro<\/span>, Global Fund for Women President Kavita Ramdas and Sara Seims of the Hewlett Foundation. The event is chaired by Kissling\u2019s closest colleagues and friends, Kate Michelman, former president of NARAL Pro-choice America, and Marysa Navarro-Aranguren, the chair of CFFC\u2019s board of directors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Pray for&#8230;a lot of people. Including each other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Finally, many thanks to those of you who voted for this blog in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicblogawards.com\/2007\/ballot_results\/\">Catholic Blog Awards, <\/a>and thanks to the folks at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cybercatholics.com\/\">Cyber Catholics <\/a>for their hard work in running the awards. Although I <em>did <\/em>promise <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/thecatholicguy\">Lino Rulli that he&#8217;d get any awards I won&#8230;so&#8230;name it and claim it, Lino!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(There are no special Lenten plans for this blog, except that there might be fewer news postings and comments will&nbsp; definitely be closed a lot more. I had meant to start my Spring &#8217;07 rewriting and writing binge last week, but snow and illness have intervened. The snow is melting, but poor Joseph has been home sick for the last few days. There is some really fine, incisive writing going on out there. Helpful, clarifying theological thinking, great, inspiring ParentBlogging, thoughtful spiritual writing, vibrant apologetics.
