I actually slept like a stone on the plane from LA &#8211; I fell asleep before we took off and didn&#8217;t wake up until they announced we were descending &#8211; and even then, I went back to sleep because with a big airport, that&#8217;s always about 30 minutes before you land. <\/p>\n<p>Talk seemed to go well &#8211; met several blog readers! Hi folks! Katherine Coolidge, director of evangelization at the parish was a fine host, and they are very blessed to have her. I was very pleased to meet <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doxaweb.com\/blog\/blogger.html\">Clayton Emmer, <\/a>who came down from HollywoodLand.<\/p>\n<p>No, I didn&#8217;t see the Cathedral &#8211; the plane was a tiny bit late, and then it took at least 45 minutes for the baggage to come down &#8211; I had brought books with me, so I sort of had to get them. <\/p>\n<p>But I did get a very nice view of the Pacific and Catalina Island, which of course I&#8217;d never seen before (the only part of CA I&#8217;d ever been in was San Francisco) &#8211; that was pretty gorgeous from an overview on Palos Verdes Dr. That was probably better, I&#8217;d say..<\/p>\n<p>Gotta do some things, then blogging.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m back &#8211; 24 hours after I left, and I&#8217;m not wiped out. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
