As the worship leader was finishing the music set, he offered some unscripted theological reflections. He said something like: &quot;The only thing required of us is to believe that Jesus&#8217; blood saves us. Nothing more. It&#8217;s nothing but the blood of Jesus.&quot;<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">In my Baptist context, we&#8217;ve heard these thoughts a thousand times. The problem was that I had in my pocket a message in which Jesus himself had a very different answer to the question of salvation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\">In reading through Luke, I had discovered that twice (10:25, 18:18) Jesus is asked, &quot;What must I do to inherit eternal life?&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"text\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/lists.christianitytoday.com\/t\/6289403\/1160442\/127897\/0\/\">More<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text\" dir=\"ltr\">She wonders&#8230;how many more steps until Jesus&#8217; answers to other questions might be brought into the equation as well..<\/p>\n<p class=\"text\" dir=\"ltr\">like&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nccbuscc.org\/nab\/bible\/john\/john3.htm\">&quot;How can a person grown old be born again?&quot;<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text\" dir=\"ltr\">like&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nccbuscc.org\/nab\/bible\/john\/john6.htm\">&quot;How can this man give us his flesh to eat?&quot;<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text\" dir=\"ltr\">It&#8217;s a big, big picture&#8230;. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Did anyone hear the sound of a small bomb being dropped? Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
