They have been transcribed, but the tapes themselves remain locked up. (Dom corrects me in the comments &#8211; they have been released. But they certainly weren&#8217;t released the day they were discovered.)<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s odd to me that there wasn&#8217;t even a debate on this one. Even though the material was NBC&#8217;s property, couldn&#8217;t law enforcement enjoined them from releasing them? And so soon? I&#8217;m glad victims&#8217; families pulled out of appearing on NBC today. I wish, in the riot of images that TV news presents to us now &#8211; along with the banners and tickers, you must have a minimum of two images on the screen at any time &#8211; I wish they didn&#8217;t have the need to constantly have Cho&#8217;s face up there at all times.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/tvnewser\/\">You can follow the covering of the coverage here at TVNewser.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.com\/news\/profiles\/?pg=2\">The Chronicle of Higher Education is in the process of posting substantial profiles of each of the victims.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Should NBC &#8211; and now everyone else &#8211; have aired the videos of the Virignia Tech killer?
