Bryce Sibley is featured in this TV news piece about DVC reactions<\/a> &#8211; Fr. Sibley is the proprietor of the late, lamented, <a href=\"http:\/\/britius.stblogs.org\/\">Saintly Salmagundi blog.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, please go read <a href=\"http:\/\/fructusventris.stblogs.org\/\">Alicia the Midwife&#8217;s blog<\/a> about a horrifying situation involving a friend of hers &#8211; a blog reader passes it along with this note:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<div><em>The long and short of the story is, Nancy has 12 children and the eldest son was accused of abusing the 10-year-old daughter.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em> <\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>Child protective services removed all the children from the house, citing Nancy and her husband&#8217;s failure to protect them from the alleged abuse, including the 13-month-old who is only breast-fed.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>This is the <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/fructusventris.stblogs.org\/archives\/2006\/05\/posted_with_per.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #003399\"><em>first post<\/em><\/span><\/a><em> on the situation, including a break-down of the abuses by CPS against Nancy&#8217;s children.<\/em><\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div><em>And this is the <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/fructusventris.stblogs.org\/archives\/2006\/05\/if_you_want_som.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #003399\"><em>most recent post<\/em><\/span><\/a><em> on the situation.&nbsp; Apparently, the 13-month-old was returned to Nancy with bruises, swelling (to the point they thought he had a skull fracture) and other injuries.&nbsp; Then CPS took him away again and placed him back with the foster family from whence these injuries came.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em> <\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>This is very upsetting and heartbreaking.&nbsp; Even if the allegations of abuse are true, the rest of Nancy&#8217;s children do not deserve to be scattered in a system that is clearly doing them more harm than good.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em> <\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>I think we all need to rally for the sake of Nancy (who is also an NFP-only midwife), her husband, and especially her children.&nbsp; It&#8217;s so upsetting to me that it makes me cry.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1) I&#8217;m going to start holding back comments posted overnight for approval. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
