Each person in my family, including me, said that we had not been exactly sure what to expect but we had not expected that amount of simple grace-filled love. A plain room, actually sort of not exaclty ugly it was, a few tables, a food and rink table {after all, it\u2019s church}, an almost impromptu order to the evening and absolutely no pizzazz or anything that could be considered culturally relevant or seeker {in our case candidate} sensitive save for the genuine warmth of the people and a clear love of their Catholic faith. In the end, I would challenge, it is that which wins the day. It\u2019s won us.<\/p>\n

This is the Year of the Eucharist<\/a> and I cannot think it coincidental in any way that in each of the stories, mine and our daughters and by extension our whole family, the young couple, the individual man, all had as the point of no return part of our story the realization of the reality of the Real Presence of Christ; the body, blood and divinity of Christ in the Eucharist.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
