So not much thinking to be found here, unfortunately. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bettnet.com\/blog\/index.php\/weblog\/katrina_hit_parish_sues_bishop_over_rebuilding_church\/\">Dom reports on a Katrina-hit parish in the Diocese of Biloxi suing the diocese.<\/a> Diocesan <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunherald.com\/201\/story\/51943.html\">Bishop Rodi&#8217;s statement.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beaten down by the NeoCatechumenal Way &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicnews.com\/data\/stories\/cns\/0702758.htm\">the North American College seminarians lost in the playoffs of the Clericus Cup inter-seminary competition in Rome.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You know, Sunday&#8217;s speech was only the beginning &#8211; the CELAM conference is meeting &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicnews.com\/data\/stories\/cns\/0702755.htm\">CNS reports<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Archdiocese <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/local\/la-me-building16may16,1,6406523.story\">is selling the chancery office building:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.la-archdiocese.org\/news\/story.php?newsid=885\">announcement, made on the archdiocese&#8217;s website,<\/a> Mahony said that the insurance companies should cover &quot;the major share&quot; of the settlements but that the church must be prepared to pay a portion.<\/p>\n<p>He said the archdiocese has assembled a list of 50 properties it could sell, starting with the 12-story building at 3424 Wilshire Blvd., which the Thrifty Payless firm donated to the church in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>The structure houses offices for the archdiocese&#8217;s central administration, ministries and other services. Mahony said the archdiocese would either lease office space back from the buyer or find quarters elsewhere.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oregonlive.com\/news\/oregonian\/index.ssf?\/base\/news\/1179284140316100.xml&amp;coll=7\">Spokane Diocese is asking for millions:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization plan approved last month commits the 95,000-member diocese to pay $48 million &#8212; including $10 million from 82 parishes &#8212; to settle as many as 177 claims of previous sexual abuse.
