Robert Barron, the excellent preacher and teacher from the Archdiocese of Chica<\/a>go.\u00a0 He has many video and audio clips at his website, some available for sale. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ewtn.com\/tv\/index.asp\">EWTN is broadcasting one of his series, &#8220;Conversion&#8221; this week at 3am(!) and 6:30 pm. <\/a><br \/>\nAlso available is &#8220;Faith Clips&#8221; &#8211; a set of short, concise answers to fundamental questions on faith, suitable for RCIA, adult faith formation, confirmation and youth catechesis. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.themessageshop.org\/MS_030_DVD.html\">More information here, where you can view some sample clips and also read, via a pdf file, all of the questions included. <\/a><br \/>\nSpeaking of video,<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sqpn.com\/?cat=35\"> there&#8217;s a new episode (#8) of That Catholic Show online &#8211; this one&#8217;s on Confession. <\/a><br \/>\n<em>America Magazine<\/em>\u00a0(on its very well-done recently redesigned website) \u00a0has <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.americamagazine.org\/content\/article.cfm?article_id=10198\">a discussion about a newly-aired documentary on the &#8220;Camden 28&#8221; <\/a>(the doc aired earlier this week on PBS, and because I&#8217;m lame on posting these days&#8230;well, you see what happens.) More on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.camden28.org\/\">the history of the protests and what followed here. <\/a><br \/>\nCrisis Magazine is, as most of you know, no longer a printed object &#8211; it exists online, with new material posted every day, blogs, etc. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/insidecatholic.com\/Joomla\/\">Inside Catholic is here. <\/a><br \/>\nThe\u00a0bloggers at the blog on Catholic legal theory, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mirrorofjustice.com\/\">Mirror of Justice, have published a statement the situation at Ave Maria School of Law. <\/a><br \/>\nFinally, and speaking of protests, folks in Aurora, Illinois are working and praying like mad to keep a Planned Parenthood facility which would provide\u00a0abortions\u00a0out of their community. The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/familiesagainstplannedparenthood.org\/index.php\">website detailing their efforts is here. <\/a>In addition, this <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/buildingtheark.blogspot.com\/\">blogger is keeping track,<\/a> and here has a powerful post on what pro-lifers do about all those babies they only care about before birth:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span><span style=\"color:#006600\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">In a lukewarm attempt to show the proportion of one&#8217;s pro-life stance equaling the number of children adopted<\/span><\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"color:#006600\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">, the question, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"color:#006600\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-style:italic\">&#8220;How many children have YOU adopted?&#8221; <\/span><span>has been the mantra of the pro-life opposition. <\/span><span style=\"font-style:italic\"><\/span><span>It seems the pro-abortion crowd movement has birthed<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"color:#006600\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"> a new sibling (particularly when the pro-lifer in question HAS one or more adopted children) for this question, <span style=\"font-style:italic\">&#8220;Why don&#8217;t you spend your time and energy helping the children who are <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">already <\/span>born?&#8221; <\/span>After emitting a loud sigh, I spent a few moments thinking about the protesting pro-lifers I know. Far from the &#8220;religious zealot circus freak show&#8221; label firmly in place by the PP contingent, these are just your average hard-working, concerned citizens, who when they aren&#8217;t busying themselves with their protest shenanigans are:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>coordinating efforts to bring food and shelter to the people (predominantly women and children) of our community at the local shelter and food pantries<\/li>\n<li>acting as foster parents for days, weeks, months and sometimes years to care for children who, if all goes well, will be reunited with their birth family<\/li>\n<li>organizing small groups in their churches, in their neighborhoods to minister to mothers and provide support and encouragement through their childbearing and childrearing years<\/li>\n<li>adopting a child or two (or nine&#8211;Hi Mom!) in order to give the child and the birth parents a chance to become the person God calls them to be<\/li>\n<li>babysitting for young, single mothers while they finish their college or, perhaps, high school degree<\/li>\n<li>mentoring, loving, giving, donating selflessly of all the time-talents-and-treasures they have been given&#8211;rather than take the easy way out for themselves and demand that women &#8220;in trouble&#8221; have abortions to avoid having yet one other person to help<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And just because this life-affirming lifestyle allows for so much &#8220;me&#8221; time, these people, who devote their *extra* time to &#8220;extremist&#8221; protest activities<span> are busy preparing to help&#8211;AGAIN!<\/span><span>Read more about Saturday morning&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/familiesagainstplannedparenthood.org\/act.php#091507\"><font color=\"#5588aa\">&#8220;Jericho March&#8221; here<\/font><\/a> and the concurrent pro-life baby shower to assist three local crisis pregnancy centers <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.google.com\/Doc?id=dhqnmrzx_0gq6h4f\"><font color=\"#5588aa\">here<\/font><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/docs.google.com\/Doc?id=dhqnmrzx_0gq6h4f\"><font color=\"#5588aa\">.<\/font><\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many of you know of Fr.
