The service was Catholic, and Mr. Bush is a Methodist, so he wasn&#8217;t taking Communion. While others walked forward, the president remained in his pew, kneeling and praying. Early the next morning, Mr. Bush announced the nomination of White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. Amy has written columns for Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic News Service at times over the past twenty years. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
