The focus was entirely on the goal of switching sexual orientations. <\/p>\n<p>Mike Haley, the director of gender issues for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.family.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Focus on the Family<\/span><\/a> and probably the speaker at the conference with whom I disagreed least, told me afterward that one small-group session had discussed chastity. \u201cWe don\u2019t want people to believe that change means you have to be married and have to have kids,\u201d he said, and then added, \u201cThe opposite of homosexuality isn\u2019t heterosexuality, the opposite of homosexuality is holiness. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
