Z on the draft situation:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>You get the feeling that this is a game of chicken and we, the Catholic faithful, are standing in the middle of the street.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone knows how the votes went.&nbsp; What we don\u2019t know is precisely what the votes were about.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>They were about the new draft translation, right?&nbsp; Well\u2026 yes and no.&nbsp; First there was a vote on adapations to the draft.&nbsp; Then there was a vote on the draft with the adaptations.<\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t know what the adaptations were.&nbsp; Therefore, we don\u2019t know <em>which<\/em> draft they approved.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/pg\/06167\/698798-84.stm\">From the Ann Rogers piece on the vote:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The bishops yesterday also rejected a proposed translation to have priests invoke &quot;the dew of your Spirit&quot; in a prayer of consecration.
