At the moment when dharma is correctly transmitted, you are immediately your original self.<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"font-size:85%;\">[Aitken &amp; Tanahashi]<br \/><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><span><span>To learn Buddhism is to learn ourselves.<\/span> <\/span><span>To learn ourselves is to forget ourselves.<span> <\/span><\/span><span><span>To forget ourselves i<\/span><span>s to be experienced by millions of things and phenomena. To be experienced by millions of things and phenomena is<\/span><span> <\/span><span>to <span>let our own body and mind, and the body and mind of the external world, fall away<\/span><\/span><span>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">[Then] we can forget the [mental] trace of realization, and show the [real] signs of forgotten realization continually, moment by moment.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">When a person first seeks the Dharma, he is far removed from the borders of Dharma.
