In 1984, German filmmaker Philip Gr\u00c3\u00b6ning wrote to the Carthusian order for permission to make a documentary about them. They said they would get back to him. Sixteen years later, they were ready. Gr\u00c3\u00b6ning, sans crew or artificial lighting, lived in the monks\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 quarters for six months\u00e2\u20ac\u201dfilming their daily prayers, tasks, rituals and rare outdoor excursions.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;font-size:130%;\" ><span style=\"font-size:130%;\">Here is my review &#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:78%;\">(by the way, if someone asks &#8230; my eyes are always 1\/3 open during the sitting.
