The world seems traveling into space,
\nAnd traveling at a faster pace
\nThan in the leisured summer weather
\nWhen we and it sit out together,
\nFor now we feel the world spin round
\nOn some momentous journey bound —
\nJourney to what? to whom? to where?
\nThe Advent bells call out ‘Prepare,
\nYour world is journeying to the birth
