<\/b>The Ford Foundation is helping to fund Transforming Theology<\/i>,
\na program lead by Philip Clayton and Marjorie Suchocki that aims to
\nrekindle theological imagination and to support progressive theologies
\nthat can transform churches and society.  In partnership with
\ntheologians, denominational leaders, and seminary presidents,
\nTransforming Theology<\/i> is working to break down the walls between
\nacademic theology and the church, putting theology back in the hands of
\npastors and laypersons.<\/p>\n

This first meeting brings together leading progressive theologians from
\nacross the country.  The two evening sessions offer constructive new
\nsuggestions on how theology can transform the church and contribute to
\nprogressive social transformation of our society.  We invite you to
\nattend, listen, and make your voice heard.
