\nTheological differences indeed threaten the short-term cohesion and
\nlong-term viability of the emerging church and yet in the midst of
\nthose differences, many claim some genuine ecclesiological and
\ntheological advances that may yet prove to have long term significance.<\/p>\n

Fortunately,
\nfollowers of Jesus Christ are not ultimately reliant on their own
\nbrilliance, devices, and stratagems to co-labor with God in His
\nKingdom.  Submitted hearts can call on God for His wisdom and guidance
\nand trust that the Spirit will lead.<\/font>  Human institutions,
\nmovements, and conversations come and go.  But surely sometimes God
\nchooses the canvas of human efforts to paint beautiful portraits.
 
Ultimately,
\nof course, the criterion by which the long-term success of the emerging
\nchurch conversation will be judged will be the degree to which it has
\nprecipitated a greater love of God and others.  <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
