Matt Cleaver, a seminary student who visited last Sunday, has a good take<\/a>.  Money quote:<\/p>\n

I thought this would be a cool opportunity to see in real life all
\nthat I had been reading and hearing about, and it was honestly pretty
\nmuch what I expected: quite anticlimactic and ordinary.  And I mean
\nthat truly in the best way possible.<\/p>\n

Obviously when I say ordinary<\/em> I don’t mean mainstream<\/em>. 
\nWhen you walk into the Great Room (think sanctuary) and see it filled
\nwith tons of couches all arranged pointing towards a<\/p>\n

couple of stools
\nsitting in the middle of the room you realize that the environment is
\nanything but typical church fare.<\/p>\n

When I say that the Sunday Gathering is ordinary and anticlimactic I
\nmean that the community and leadership embrace a super-flat
\necclesiology.  Lines between staff and laity seem blurred, and there is
\nno such thing as a celebrity. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
