We move on Monday. So I haven&#8217;t read much this week, and the interesting things I did read I now can&#8217;t find amidst the piles. So&#8230; one article and one quotation:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Ramesh Ponnuru has an article for the New York Times, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/06\/13\/opinion\/13ponnuru.html?scp=1&amp;sq=the%20year%20of%20the%20(pro-life)%20woman&amp;st=cse\" target=\"_blank\">The Year of the (Pro-Life) Woman<\/a>.&#8221; He addresses the historical disparity between what women believe about abortion generally (48 percent consider themselves pro-life) and what women in Congress believe about abortion (up until this election season, there have been virtually no pro-life women present). In his words, &#8220;These women will make it easier for pro-lifers to discuss the issue in the terms we want to discuss it: as a plea for justice for a vulnerable group.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And yet another word of wisdom from Eugene Peterson&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Christ-Plays-Ten-Thousand-Places\/dp\/0802828752\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1276867877&amp;sr=1-1\" target=\"_blank\">Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places<\/a>: &#8220;We cannot understand either the character or the significance of Sabbath apart from work and workplace. Work doesn&#8217;t take us away from God; it continues the work of God through us. Sabbath and work are not in opposition; Sabbath and work are integrated parts of an organic whole.
