Chad Lowe\u2019s oldest daughter, Mabel, is remembering her 13-year-old sister Fiona with a heartbreaking promise: She will keep her memory alive.<\/p>\n

Mabel, 17, shared a series of photos of the sisters on Instagram over the weekend, including childhood moments together and images reflecting Fiona\u2019s love of dance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you so much, Fiona,\u201d Mabel wrote. \u201cI wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will honor you forever and keep your memory alive,\u201d she continued. \u201cI love you, I hope you knew just how much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fiona died at a Los Angeles hospital on Sept. 29, according to the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner. She was 13. The medical examiner later ruled her death a suicide.<\/p>\n

Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter, announced their daughter\u2019s death in a statement describing the devastating loss their family is facing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,\u201d the family said.<\/p>\n

They remembered Fiona as \u201ca loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,\u201d the family said. \u201cIn fact, she was the light of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fiona was the middle of Lowe and Painter\u2019s three daughters, between Mabel and younger sister Nixie, 10.<\/p>\n

Those who knew Fiona have also shared memories of a gentle, artistic teenager whose passion for dance was a major part of her life.<\/p>\n

\u201cFiona was sweet, quiet and kind,\u201d a source familiar with her school community told PEOPLE. \u201cDance was her biggest passion. She had a very artistic soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source said Fiona was \u201calways kind to other students\u201d and described her death as devastating for a close-knit school community where many parents and families know one another.<\/p>\n

Support has also poured in for Mabel and the Lowe family. Jeremy Renner offered his \u201cdeepest condolences,\u201d while Jessica Capshaw told Mabel she had been keeping the family in her \u201cthoughts and prayers.\u201d Kimberly Williams-Paisley also sent \u201cprayers and so much love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lowe, the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, is an Emmy-winning actor and director known for roles in \u201cLife Goes On,\u201d \u201cPretty Little Liars\u201d and \u201c9-1-1: Lone Star.\u201d He and Painter have largely raised their three daughters away from the Hollywood spotlight.<\/p>\n

Rob Lowe and other family members and friends have rallied around Chad and Painter in the days since Fiona\u2019s death, according to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone\u2019s heartbroken,\u201d a source said. \u201cRight now, the focus is on being there for them in any way they can.\u201d<\/p>\n

In their statement, Fiona\u2019s family asked for prayers and privacy as they grieve while also urging others who may be struggling to seek help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
