I rise this morning, tired and weary, to another day of battle.<\/p>\n

Before I face it, I sleepily enter into the folds of Your garment.<\/p>\n

You stand with arms open to me.<\/p>\n

I shuffle forward and feel Your warmth surround me.<\/p>\n

In this secret, sweet place<\/p>\n

there is no fear<\/p>\n

there is no want<\/p>\n

there is no worry<\/p>\n

there is no confusion<\/p>\n

there is no weakness.<\/p>\n

Here I rest my head against the heart that I broke.<\/p>\n

The heart that now beats strong for me.<\/p>\n

The arms that stretched wide to receive my punishment<\/p>\n

envelope me.<\/p>\n

The hands that were pierced to cleanse mine<\/p>\n

softly stroke my hair.<\/p>\n

The head of Jesus, once bloodied by torture and ridicule<\/p>\n

bends down to mine with a kiss,<\/p>\n

breathing new life through my being<\/p>\n

To start another day.<\/p>\n
