\nLook up, they said.
\nLook up. See the man in the moon?
\nI looked up.
\nI didn\u2019t see any man in the moon.<\/p>\n

Why did they all act like there was a man in the moon?
\nThey all believed it,
\nBut
\nI don\u2019t think they ever saw one.
\nThat\u2019s why they wanted a man on<\/em> the moon,
\nExploding phallic missile,
\nThrusting forth
\nA he-man moon-man to \u201cconquer\u201d her,
\nPlunging poles with flags into her white breast,
\nClaiming he-man moon madness.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve looked up.
\nI see a SheWomb moon.
\nI see a moon glowing with soft silvery light in my belly.
\nI see a round GrandMother moon,
\nGuardian of all life.
\nDaughter of Earth,
\nDancing in Dark Mother\u2019s space
\nIn Harmony
\nWith all of her daughters.
\nSacred Moonblood,
\nStreaming forth life from spiraling, shimmering moonbeams
\nGifts planted in our bodies from Great GrandMother\u2019s outstretched fingers of starborn light.<\/p>\n

They thought life came from the man in the moon.
\nThey thought it because they wanted it to be true.
\nBecause it was such great power.
\nBut I know it\u2019s not true.<\/p>\n

I tell my daughters
\nLook Up!
\nSee the Great Moon Mother?
\nShe is smiling on you
\nAnd has blessed you with her love.
\nI say to them,
\nPrecious Ones,
\nNo matter what you may hear,
\n<\/em>There just isn\u2019t a man in the moon.
\n<\/em>There never was, and there never will be.<\/em><\/p>\n
