When Everything You Think You Know Changes
\nwhat do you do then?
\nWhen all that you dreamed
\nyou might cause
\nshifts
\nwhat do you dream then?
\nWhen who you thought you were
\nisn’t
\nhow then to re-invent?
\nWhen how you believed the world to be
\ndeconstructs
\nhow shall you trust again?
\nWhen the ideas of childhood are no longer
\nwhole
\nhow do you re-connect to innocence?
\nWhen the instruction manual you have been using
\nde-materializes
\nwhat step-by-step do you follow?
\nWhen the life you thought you would have
\nis out of view
\nhow then shall you claim a new one?
\nWhen the paradigm you were living in
\nno longer makes sense
\nhow do you enter one that matches who you are?
\nWhen your heart hurts and the crack is opening
\neven more
\nhow do you continue to love and to listen?
\nWhen the unraveling has begun you must just wait
\n<\/strong>on the Beloved.
\n<\/strong>Sit in the broken sanctuary of your own heart
\neven if the wonder and cries are so loud,
\nthat you cry all day. Know that you are not alone.
\nDon’t try to get through it, get it done
\nor rush to the next thing or to resolution
\nor the illusiveness of completion.
\nDon’t make up different stories to go in the place
\nof the old ones right now. New stories are emerging.
\nSit in the discomfort and
\nthe spaciousness.
\nPractice the thought that somewhere,
\n<\/strong>you have a memory, that knows that healing, is indeed, possible.
\n<\/strong>And that dreaming again, is part of the healing itself.
\nThis takes courage that you don’t know the source of.
\nRisk dreaming into the future even when the “right now”,
\nstill stings your eyes and the scars on your heart are still raw.
\nYou MIGHT have to make yourself dream. RISK this act of unreasonable dreaming!
\nWe, who walk the road of suffering and transformation with you,
\n<\/strong>will be right beside you as you dare to dream.<\/strong><\/p>\n
