Headlines featuring Lindsay\u2019s name along with mug shots and pictures snapped at her absolute worst have shown us what addiction really looks like. It brings to light every negative aspect of a human being, and for celebrities it puts the spotlight on them when they least want the attention.<\/p>\n

The first time that Lindsay\u2019s problems with drugs and alcohol became widely publicized was in January of 2007 when she entered her first drug rehab. Her life spiraled out of control with a series of arrests, more visits to rehab and serving jail time. Her legal woes continued through several years. Judges, rehab facilities, recovery professionals and even rejection from the movie industry that made her famous could not help Lindsay stay sober.<\/p>\n

Over the past 18 years I have worked with numerous celebrity and high profile clients. Due to the nature of their work, and constantly being in the public eye, it\u2019s very difficult for many to experience long-term sobriety. They need support 24\/7 and a sober coach will provide this service. Lindsay hiring a sober coach is one of the smartest things she could do to attempt to stay sober. It will be difficult for her to avoid the people, places and things that are associated with her addicted life. Having someone monitor her and keep her recovery top of mind will increase her chances of finally staying clean. She even has a chance to keep her employment.<\/p>\n

Sources say she even had a visit from Ben Affleck while she was at Cliffside Malibu (rehab) to discuss a possible movie role. This is one example of why Lindsay should be hopeful that the world wouldn\u2019t give up on her. The public keeps giving Lindsay second, third, forth and fifth chances, let\u2019s hope that she finally listens. A highly anticipated interview with Oprah will offer more insight.<\/p>\n

Lindsay Lohan will be having a conversation with Oprah on Sunday August 18th at 9\/8c. It will be interesting to see how honest Lindsay is and if she is truly ready to surrender to the disease of addiction. On a preview of this interview, Lohan says that: \u201cI\u2019m my own worst enemy,\u201d Lohan says in the video. \u201cAnd I know that. But will she take the time to work an honest program of recovery? Will she be able to get her life, family, friends and career back on track? Only time will tell.<\/p>\n
