I just stumbled upon Judith Orloff’s blog and her book
\nSecond Sight.  <\/span>I am so excited about her
\nmessage and in fact going to attend her workshop in Westlake Village this
\nSaturday hosted by the Center for Spiritual Living.  <\/span>This has become my new home, because it
\nspeaks my message as well.  <\/span>It is
\nabsolutely what I talk about in The Law of Sobriety about intuition, our inner
\nvoice, our gut feeling, our hunch, and our intuitive wisdom or Higher Power
\nvoice.  <\/span>She discusses 5 steps to becoming
\nmore intuitive.  <\/span>The first step is:<\/p>\n

Notice Your Beliefs<\/p>\n

Not only does having positive beliefs change your
\nperspective, is has health benefits.  <\/span>It
\nis all about being true to yourself and your values.  <\/span>What is it you believe in?  <\/span>In Law of Sobriety I talk about what you put
\nout there in the universe is what you will get back.  <\/span>If you don’t do the work required to stay
\ncomfortable in your own skin, then simply you won’t be comfortable and you
\nmight even relapse.<\/p>\n

Be In Your Body<\/p>\n

I studied Somatic Experience for a yr and when I work with
\nclients in order to ground them and get them present, I check in to what is
\nhappening to them right now in their body. 
\n<\/span>We tend to live from the neck up; try shifting that to your heart
\ninstead.<\/p>\n

Sense Your Body’s Subtle Energy<\/p>\n

This is my favorite, thus, that is why I called my book The
\nLaw of Sobriety: Attracting Positive Energy for a Powerful Recovery<\/p>\n

We all have “chi”, that energy force or center that we call
\n“chakras”.  <\/span>Be mindful of them because
\nthat too is where intuition lies and your life force.<\/p>\n

Ask for Inner Guidance<\/p>\n

This is all about your knowing; it is the result of being
\nstill and listening to that tiny voice. 
\n<\/span>This can be done thru mediation, contemplation, connecting with nature,
\nprayer, or whatever helps you receive your inner essence. Asking for guidance
\nis imperative in recovery.  <\/span>We don’t
\nalways have the answers in the physical world but down deep in the spiritual
\nworld, those are the answers you can trust. <\/p>\n

Listen To Your Dreams<\/p>\n

I was never a big believer in dreams.  <\/span>Now I truly believe they too hold the answers
\nto our intuition.  <\/span>Ask yourself before
\nyou go to bed a question that needs an answer that in the physical world it can’t
\nbe answered.  <\/span>It can only appear in your
\nspiritual world.  <\/span>That is where all the
\nanswers from the universe can be heard.<\/p>\n
