A few extra bits from the Oscars tonight!<\/p>\n

\n

-The\u00a0awards for music and sound definitely found the correct homes tonight. \u00a0Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross did an amazing job with The Social Network<\/em>, and I can’t believe I am writing about Trent Reznor on this blog. \u00a0Anyone who doesn’t think Inception<\/em> deserved the award for sound design and editing didn’t go see that movie in a theater. \u00a0It was the best part of the film.<\/p>\n

\n

-Florence\u00a0Welch continues her systematic takeover of award shows. \u00a0Much like the\u00a0Grammys, “who is that redhead with the amazing voice?” was said in\u00a0homes all across America. \u00a0The performance of “If I Rise” from the \u00a0movie 127 Hours<\/em> was outstanding, and just one more reason for everyone to check out Florence and the Machine’s debut album Lungs<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n

-It was great to see many of Beliefnet’s Top 5 Inspirational Oscar Nominees<\/a> earning honors tonight. \u00a0There really were a number of great and moving films this year. \u00a0As for my choices, I loved The King’s Speech<\/em> and True Grit <\/em>for the same reasons – they were serious, funny, and explored human\u00a0relationships in a unique way. \u00a0All of the performances were incredible\u00a0in both films, so it is really a wash for me. \u00a0They were both wonderful.<\/p>\n

I’ll wrap this up before I start stereotypically complaining about the hosts (they were bad<\/em>), what did you think about the Oscars tonight?<\/p>\n
