Smaller-scale churches within evangelical culture now have projector screens so lyrics to the songs can be displayed via PowerPoint.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYMCv--XWI\/AAAAAAAABao\/TeBLGaAZ4KY\/s1600-h\/worship.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYMCv--XWI\/AAAAAAAABao\/TeBLGaAZ4KY\/s400\/worship.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>As churches work to &#8220;appeal&#8221; to a &#8220;younger demographic,&#8221; the hymnal is going the way of the landline. In these churches a <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/stuffchristianculturelikes\/2008\/08\/14-worship-teams.html\">worship team<\/a> leads the congregation in some extended anthems to Jesus in which the word &#8220;I&#8221; is used a lot. A PowerPoint display helps you know which words to mouth even if it can&#8217;t help you with the tune.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYS8IqfSSI\/AAAAAAAABaw\/CQNaLzIcwPo\/s1600-h\/church3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYS8IqfSSI\/AAAAAAAABaw\/CQNaLzIcwPo\/s400\/church3.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>Jumbotrons are also necessary at churches that have multiple campuses. (A multi-campus church is one that owns many buildings and the pastor&#8217;s message is telecasted as people assemble to watch. When you gather in a building with other church members to see your pastor speaking on a screen from a remote location, there is a .0042% chance you would ever be granted a meeting with him in person.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYUmi0l13I\/AAAAAAAABbQ\/bFZzfHvQeyM\/s1600-h\/jumbo1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYUmi0l13I\/AAAAAAAABbQ\/bFZzfHvQeyM\/s400\/jumbo1.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>Bucolic and otherwise &#8220;inspirational&#8221; backgrounds are brandished on the screen(s) between worship songs. Oftentimes the background will display one word that is presumably intended to inspire the congregation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYLoaplcEI\/AAAAAAAABaQ\/OytN6BYXv6A\/s1600-h\/genchurch1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYLoaplcEI\/AAAAAAAABaQ\/OytN6BYXv6A\/s400\/genchurch1.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYLhXiJnZI\/AAAAAAAABaI\/OHsZeYMU8Ks\/s1600-h\/grow.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlYLhXiJnZI\/AAAAAAAABaI\/OHsZeYMU8Ks\/s400\/grow.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlVxvXmXhtI\/AAAAAAAABZ4\/opLO5wogTpU\/s1600-h\/encore.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_RoFf0W8nCJo\/SlVxvXmXhtI\/AAAAAAAABZ4\/opLO5wogTpU\/s400\/encore.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>In some instances churches will hold a service for &#8220;traditional&#8221; worship (always the early service) and the ensuing services will be &#8220;contemporary.&#8221; This is to please members of the congregation on both sides of the generational gap.
