Charlie Kirk\u2019s widow Erika Kirk heartbreakingly revealed her young daughter still asks where her \u201cdaddy\u201d is nearly two months after his assassination.<\/p>\n

But the mother of two has turned the painful questions from her 3-year-old into a touching teaching moment, she told Fox News\u2019<\/em> Jesse Watters in an emotional TV interview \u2014 her first since her husband was killed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things and I said \u2018if you ever want to talk to daddy you just look up to the sky and start talking and he can hear you,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told her, \u2018you know, daddy is in heaven\u2019 \u2014 and she goes \u2018do you think I could go sometime?\u2019\u201d she continued through tears.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said \u2018baby, we will all go one day.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Charlie and Erika Kirk had two children together, a son who turned 1 in May and a daughter who turned 3 in August.<\/p>\n

Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead by a single bullet to the neck by alleged gunman Tyler Robinson while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n

Watters told Fox & Friends<\/em> hosts that Erika Kirk believed at one point that her husband would survive \u2014 but reality set in when she saw him at the hospital.<\/p>\n

In the interview, Erika Kirk recalled a \u201csmirk\u201d on her slain husband\u2019s face \u2014 which helped assure her that Charlie did not suffer, she said at her husband\u2019s heavily attended funeral.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe walked into that room and he had this smirk on this face,\u201d she said. \u201cThat smirk to me is that look of \u2018you thought you stopped what I\u2019ve built. You thought you could end this vision, this movement, this revival. You thought you could do that by murdering me.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got my body, but you didn\u2019t get my soul.\u201d<\/p>\n

The assassination, which was caught on camera from various angles and widely shared on social media, sent shockwaves throughout the country amid rising concerns about political violence.<\/p>\n

Robinson, 22, was arrested days later after a frantic manhunt, and charged with aggravated murder and related crimes.<\/p>\n

He could face the death penalty by firing squad if convicted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI almost started crying a few times when she talked about her children,\u201d he shared. \u201cYou can feel the spirit of Charlie Kirk in Erika, and it\u2019s just a real power.\u201d<\/p>\n
