Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, are staying grounded in faith as they navigate a deeply personal and emotional journey toward expanding their family.<\/p>\n

In a heartfelt conversation with Maury Povich on her \u201cDumb Blonde\u201d podcast, Bunnie \u2014 whose real name is Alisa DeFord \u2014 opened up about the highs and lows of her ongoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) journey. Despite the challenges, she said her faith in God keeps her centered.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is tough, but at the same time, it\u2019s like, you just put it in God\u2019s hands,\u201d Bunnie shared. \u201cIf it\u2019s meant to be, it\u2019s meant to be. And if not, we can always adopt. I\u2019m totally open to adoption too, and so is my husband.\u201d<\/p>\n

Povich, now 85, empathized with her struggle, recalling his and wife Connie Chung\u2019s own fertility challenges decades earlier. \u201cWe went through the same stuff that you and Jelly Roll have gone through,\u201d he said. \u201cWe tried to get pregnant. I\u2019m telling you, this is over 30 years ago. So Connie had to take time off from CBS and it became a big story that we were trying to get pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n

When their efforts were unsuccessful, the longtime TV couple made the decision to adopt \u2014 something Povich said changed their lives for the better. \u201cThat decision was the best I could have made,\u201d he told Bunnie.<\/p>\n

Bunnie, 40, has been transparent about her fertility struggles, sharing her story with honesty and hope on social media. Over the past year, she has let fans in on both the emotional lows and moments of encouragement. In June, she posted a tearful Instagram video celebrating what she called a \u201chuge win\u201d in her IVF process after months of waiting for good news.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you just got the call you\u2019ve been waiting on for five months since this IVF journey started,\u201d she captioned the video. \u201cAll the tears, the hopelessness & the struggle, God finally said, \u2018Here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Though she clarified that it wasn\u2019t a pregnancy announcement, the update represented a powerful moment of hope for the couple. \u201cThis is not a pregnancy announcement \u2014 we won\u2019t announce that,\u201d she said. \u201cThis is just a huge win for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll \u2014 whose real name is Jason DeFord \u2014 and Bunnie married in 2016, and she has lovingly embraced a maternal role with his two children from previous relationships, daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah Buddy.<\/p>\n
