Proud mama Demi-Leigh commemorated Daphne\u2019s 1 month milestone on her Instagram<\/a>, sharing a picture of her and her husband lovingly holding their baby girl. \u201cOne month of Daphne\u2026 31 days of hearing your little voice and learning what each sound means,\u201d wrote Demi-Leigh. \u201c4 weeks of feeling your heartbeat in my arms, instead of waiting to hear it at the next appointment. A month of celebrating every ounce you gain and every smile you give. I\u2019m praying with you now, not just for you. Holding your little feet instead of feeling your little kicks.\u201d She shared that she \u201ccould watch and stare at you all day\u201d and thanked Jesus for the blessing of their little one.<\/p>\n

Little Daphne is now two months old, and her mother recently gushed about how her life has changed. \u201cPeople always tell you, it\u2019s a love you just have never experienced before, and I can totally resonate with that,\u201d she told The Christian Post<\/em><\/a>. She reflected on how even the hard things are precious to her. \u201cEvery line, every sleepless night, it\u2019s an honor to have those things. Somehow I feel like I\u2019m going to miss it. Those sweet little midnight feeding sessions and moments. \u2026 I know at one point I\u2019ll look back and just miss those, too,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Demi-Leigh\u2019s motherhood journey has inspired her to write a devotional, \u201cKnowing Who You Are Because of Who God Is: 100 Days to Unbreakable Faith.<\/a>\u201d \u201cWalking into motherhood, I know the days of reading a whole 300-page book are maybe gone out the door for the time being. But something like this devotional \u2014 bite-sized pieces for moms, working moms, women in general \u2014 that is digestible and relatable, something they can pick up every single day and just pour truth into their lives \u2026 was something I knew I needed,\u201d she said. Motherhood has also opened up her eyes to God\u2019s love. \u201cWe learn that God loves us, and we read that in Scripture over and over again,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I think holding my own little baby for the first time and experiencing such an incredibly overwhelming love \u2026 and realizing that God loves me even so much more than this love that I\u2019m feeling \u2026 has been very humbling and so encouraging.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finding her identity in Christ was something that she had to learn herself. \u201cMyself having a pageant background \u2026 I thought that crown I wore, or that tiara or that sash or that platform gave me worth,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I realized the moment I had to give that back, I gave back my worth, my value, my sense of identity.
