The revelation sparked plenty of chatter online, with many wondering if there was trouble in their marriage. Bentley added that it&#8217;s actually been a solution for his years-long struggle with sleep.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just like a good mullet offers business up front, party in the back, this setup allows for both types of activities this room in the house is meant for,&#8221; he wrote, encouraging other couples to try it if needed.<\/p>\n<p>On the podcast, Bentley described himself as &#8220;such an animal&#8221; when it comes to sleeping. He admitted that he needs three pillows arranged precisely, and even the slightest movement from his wife can keep him awake.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My wife will be like, &#8216;How&#8217;d you sleep last night?&#8217; and we don&#8217;t even sleep in the same room right now anymore,&#8221; Bentley explained. &#8220;We&#8217;ve moved beyond that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Years ago, he replaced their shared bed with two separate platform beds, mattresses, and duvets, leaving a visible line between them. He compared it to the independent suspension on a truck, designed to minimize disturbance.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the challenges, Bentley said he and Cassidy recently decided it&#8217;s time to &#8220;get back on track&#8221; and move back into the same room. &#8220;So, we&#8217;re going to try and move her back in this year \u2014 it&#8217;s a big plan,&#8221; he joked.<\/p>\n<p>Far from being a sign of marital strain, Bentley emphasized that the arrangement has been about finding what works best for them in a busy, demanding life. The couple, who met in eighth grade, married in December 2005 and now share three children \u2014 Evalyn, 16; Jordan, 14; and Knox, 12.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We met in eighth grade, back in Arizona,&#8221; Bentley told <em>The Boot<\/em> in 2016. &#8220;It&#8217;s a pretty crazy story of just going back and forth with the right time or the wrong time, or right place, wrong time, all that stuff\u2026 I kind of knew that that was the moment [when we reconnected].&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now celebrating two decades of marriage, the couple is planning something special.
