On Sunday, July 13, she and her husband, NFL star Christian McCaffrey, announced the arrival of their first child, a daughter named Colette Annalise McCaffrey.<\/p>\n<p>The couple shared the joyful news on Instagram with a series of sweet black-and-white photos from the hospital. One image shows Olivia holding baby Colette while Christian stands close by, offering support and love. In a heartfelt caption, Culpo described the experience as \u201cthe scariest and most rewarding of all experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also shared a photo of herself during labor, saying, \u201cAs soon as he came into the room I felt most at peace. A love like no other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Just hours after announcing the joyful news, fans flooded the couple with love and heartfelt congratulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought she was gonna be a girl! Blessings to you all on your perfect little miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Culpo, 33, and McCaffrey, 29, first shared the news of their pregnancy back in March. \u201cNext chapter, motherhood,\u201d Olivia wrote at the time, along with beautiful maternity photos. Though they didn\u2019t know the baby\u2019s gender then, both were thrilled about the journey ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m so excited and grateful to be pregnant. I&#8217;ve been dreaming of this for a long time,\u201d Olivia said in an interview with PEOPLE. \u201cIt\u2019s very special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for Christian, the San Francisco 49ers running back seemed just as ready to embrace fatherhood. Olivia called him \u201cmade to be a dad\u201d and said, \u201cHe\u2019s so excited. I think he\u2019s gonna really enjoy it and be just the best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The journey to motherhood has also deepened Olivia\u2019s appreciation for her own mom. \u201cOne thing that I realized through this experience of becoming a mom is actually how much I\u2019ve needed my mom, which I didn\u2019t anticipate,\u201d she said. \u201cShe\u2019s just been so helpful to me, especially in the beginning of my pregnancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cIt\u2019s just an ironic thought that you need your mom the most when you\u2019re about to become a mom.
