Gaines was attending a Turning Point USA event when she briefly discussed the feud. Biles had called Gaines \u201ctruly sick\u201d after Gaines <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Riley_Gaines_\/status\/1931057465887728023\">criticized<\/a> Champlin Park High School in Minnesota\u2019s state championship win while allowing a boy to be the team\u2019s pitcher. \u201cYou\u2019re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Simone_Biles\/status\/1931129527679308054\">Biles said of Gaines<\/a>. \u201cYou should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!! But instead\u2026 You bully them\u2026 One things for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!\u201d She also <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Simone_Biles\/status\/1931130395728498927\">said<\/a> that Gaines should \u201cbully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biles has since <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Simone_Biles\/status\/1932470954610901259\">apologized<\/a> for getting \u201cpersonal\u201d with Gaines. \u201cI was not advocating for policies that compromise fairness in women\u2019s sports.\u00a0My objection\u00a0is\u00a0to\u00a0be singling\u00a0out children\u00a0for public scrutiny\u00a0in\u00a0ways that\u00a0feel\u00a0personal and harmful.\u00a0Individual athletes\u2014especially kids\u2014should never be the focus of criticism of a flawed system they have no control over,\u201d said Biles. Gaines brought up the comparison to being built like a man at the TP USA event, stating, \u201cHow many men do you know that have this?\u201d while showing of her belly bump to a cheering crowd. Barker also joined Gaines on stage, where he shared that the couple are expecting a baby girl. \u201cThe next generation that our little girl is going to be a part of, that is who you all are fighting for and who Turning Point is fighting for. And so from a father-to-be, thank you, keep fighting\u2026 and thank you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The couple also made a joint statement on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DK5j-COuOrt\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\">Instagram<\/a> to announce the pregnancy. \u201csurprise! we&#8217;re 26 weeks pregnant!\u201d wrote Gaines alongside an image of her and husband standing with the ultrasound image of their new baby.\u00a0 \u201cGod is SO good all the time.\u201d Barker and Gaines have been married since 2022.
