This is my work, and that\u2019s why they\u2019re not here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Best known for his role as the quirky and unpredictable Alan in &#8220;The Hangover&#8221; movies, the 55-year-old actor has built a career in entertainment. But behind the scenes, he\u2019s just \u201cDad\u201d to his two sons, whom he shares with his wife, Quinn Lundberg. The couple married in 2012 and have two children\u2014one born in 2013 and the other in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Galifianakis went to great lengths to protect his kids from the spotlight. \u201cI said that [I was a librarian] when they were younger because I didn\u2019t want them to know anything,\u201d he laughed. While the boys are now old enough to understand their dad is an actor, Galifianakis still prioritizes keeping their lives as normal and grounded as possible.<\/p>\n<p>That means steering clear of Hollywood\u2019s glitz. The family lives in a remote area, and Galifianakis owns land in his home state of North Carolina that he affectionately calls \u201cFarmageddon.\u201d He also enjoys time at the family\u2019s retreat in British Columbia, where his idea of a perfect day includes \u201ccanoeing on a lake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comedian admitted that during his early years in the industry, life looked very different. He lived in modest spaces\u2014like a tiny apartment in Brooklyn or a bare-bones house in Venice, California\u2014while chasing his dream. Now, he\u2019s far more focused on a slower, simpler life.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Galifianakis hasn\u2019t walked away from acting. He recently voiced Dr. Jumba Jookiba in Disney\u2019s upcoming live-action Lilo &amp; Stitch remake. \u201cThey\u2019ll see it,\u201d he said of his kids. \u201cYeah, we\u2019ll take them to the movie theater to see it in time.\u201d But he jokingly added, \u201cWe live pretty remotely, so I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s even going to be playing where we live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even when he filmed the movie in Hawaii, Galifianakis found a way to blend work and family without compromising his values. \u201cIt was a dream situation,\u201d he said, grateful to work with friend and director Dean Fleischer Camp. \u201cAt 55 and working as an actor for a while, you don\u2019t know if you can sustain this. But Dean and I have known each other for years&#8230; I had a lot of confidence in him as a director.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an industry that often pushes for more visibility, Zach Galifianakis offers a
